Description

When customers visit Amazon and interact with search queries or product categories, Amazon Search services come into play. Our Human Labeled Data (HLD) organization supports Search services by providing quality data annotation, enhancing AI/ML models that drive these services.

Our goal is to deliver high-quality data at scale, supporting search with easy, scalable labeling solutions that are cost-efficient and secure. We aim to enhance the search experience for customers by accurately labeling products targeted by search queries. We collaborate closely with machine learning (ML) applied science teams to improve semantic matching, ranking, computer vision, image processing, and augmented reality.

We seek highly motivated candidates to provide and review high-quality data annotation across various workflows. The ideal candidate must possess strong analytical and communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence.

Key Job Responsibilities

As a Data Associate I, ML, you will:

• Meet business metrics and goals, including SLA, production, and quality targets
• Work with minimal direction
• Maintain records of day-to-day work and update trackers or workflow tools as necessary
• Follow SOP/guidelines or manager’s instructions to ensure output compliance
• Contribute to project improvement and operational excellence ideas
• Provide timely responses to stakeholders on related tasks with guidance
• Proactively raise issues/alarms that may impact core deliverables or operations
• Analyze data, evaluate trends/patterns, and recommend generic patterns to be translated into rules
• Work with sensitive issues, including adult content, religious and philosophically sensitive issues, alcohol, tobacco, weapons, and other potentially offensive products
• Troubleshoot process-related issues and conduct root cause analysis if required
• Have familiarity with online retail (e-commerce)

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic level of Excel knowledge
• Familiarity with online retail (e-commerce industry)
