India Post is preparing to fill vacancies across 23 circles in the country. A notification has been released for the recruitment of 98,083 posts. It has been announced that notifications will be released region-wise to carry out the recruitment process. The vacancies will include positions for Postman, Mail Guard, and Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS).
Details of the Vacancies
According to the latest short notification, the available positions are as follows:
- Postman: 59,099 posts
- Mail Guard: 1,445 posts
- Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS): 37,539 posts
A full notification regarding these posts is expected to be released in January 2023.
Eligibility Criteria
- Postman: Candidates must have completed Intermediate (12th grade).
- Mail Guard: Candidates must have passed 10th grade with at least 45% marks.
- MTS: Candidates must have passed 10th grade with at least 45% marks.
Age Limit
- Candidates should be between 18 to 32 years of age. Age relaxation will be provided as per the regulations.
Application Process
- Applications must be submitted online.
Selection Process
- Selection will be based on a written examination followed by document verification for those who qualify.
Important Dates
- The notifications for these jobs will be released separately this month.
- Applications will be accepted until December, and the written exam is scheduled for January.
