Number of Volunteers:
village and ward secretariats had been established with 1,26,649 secretariat staff on regular basis and 2,54,832 volunteers on outsourcing basis to serve around 3.2 crore people, including home delivery of pensions and monthly provisions.
Nearly 1.08 lakh volunteers quit their service during the 2024 elections.
Eligibility:
The applicant preferably belongs to the ULB/Panchayati for which he/she is applying.
Honorarium:
The Selected Applicants will be engaged as Ward volunteers/Village Volunteers paid performance based Honorarium of 10,000 rs per month,
Reservation:
The rule of reservation is applicable as per the rules in vogue. 50% of the posts within each category may be considered for women.
Age:
The applicant shall have 18 years of age and shall have not exceeded 35 years.
Educational Qualification:
The applicant must have passed at least a degree or equivalent.
Method of Selection:
All eligible applicants shall be called for an interview.
Selection committee consists of Municipal Commissioner/ Tahasilder
Preference will be given to same Ward/Panchayati
Interview Parameters:
- Should have knowledge on various government schemes, programas, welfare activities.
- Previous work experience on various government welfare departments
- Leadership qualities, good communication skills
- Soft skills
Each of the above four parameters will carry 25 marks each
Training :
2 Days Induction training
1 volunteer for 300 people
Must attend mandal level meetings every week]
It is now full time job
Notification may be released on the 1st week of July.
